  • threemoons_nyc Holy crap, I unfondly remember scams like this when I used to work for a Fortune 50 company a zillion years ago. The BIGGEST scam was their annual United Way drive. Of course, since then, United Way got outed as being incredibly corrupt and wasteful. Every year they had a huge drive. If you donated X, you got a pin that entitled you to free coffee or soda at the company cafeteria for a month. Pay more, and you got to wear
  • jeans for X amounts of days. The biggest scam? If you donated between 1-3% of your salary for the upcoming year, you got a whole 1-3 extra days of PTO. And the peer pressure and management pressure was INTENSE, as in every department had one clerical staff person who would regularly pester people for the drive month.

  • LendersQuiz IF it is like: Donate to a real charity and you get a WFH day as a reward that is one thing. IF it is like: Donate to the company so that we can then donate to a charity that we choose, you get a WFH day and we get a tax break that is another matter entirely.
